I know that You Tube claims to be censored. But I guess I was kind of naïve. I really believed that YouTube would protect my children from content they should not see. But I guess that what is appropriate is kind of subjective. For instance there is a whole series of erotic bellybutton videos on YouTube that I found my son looking at one night. I did not even know if I have the right to be angry with him because technically what he was looking at was just a bellybutton. It was just a simple part of human anatomy. But I was stunned that this kind of strange fetish had made its way into such a public forum. I guess that strange fetishes have a place on the Internet. But I just did not think that that place was YouTube. Now I know that I have to be careful and monitor my sons activity.
